CapitalOS + Layer: Seamless embedded spend management and accounting

CapitalOS + Layer

Today, we're announcing an integration between CapitalOS and Layer that connects embedded spend management with embedded accounting.

For B2B platforms using both products, CapitalOS card transactions and bill payments flow into Layer as rich, real-time spend data. This gives businesses a current view of their finances while reducing manual reconciliation and the work required at month-end.

CapitalOS gives B2B platforms a fast way to embed cards, bill pay, and spend management into their products. Layer enables platforms to offer accounting and bookkeeping within their products. The integration connects these capabilities so platforms can deliver a more unified financial experience to their customers.

Previously, platforms that wanted to connect spend management with accounting had to build and maintain the connection themselves. That meant exporting transactions, mapping data between systems, resolving exceptions, and reconciling activity after the fact. This operational work can make embedded finance feel fragmented for platforms and their customers.

With the integration, card transactions and bill payments from CapitalOS flow directly into Layer with the rich spend data needed to keep the books current.

When a business makes a payment, that activity is reflected in real time in its books and across its P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statement. Platforms can give customers a clearer view of their finances without having to build and maintain the underlying connection themselves.

CapitalOS is built to give platforms flexibility in how they assemble their financial products. Supporting connections with accounting providers like Layer lets platforms choose the tools that best fit their products and customers.

CapitalOS provides rich, real-time spend data across card transactions and bill payments. Connecting that data with Layer helps platforms give their customers a current view of their finances while reducing manual work at month-end.
